Alex Rodriguez has always attracted throngs of media,
At George M. Steinbrenner Field, the spring training place where Yankees go for celebrity rehab, they are going to give us the full pinstripes Tuesday when Alex Rodriguez meets the media. Jorge Posada is supposed to be there for A-Rod. Andy Pettitte and Derek Jeter and Mo Rivera will be there, too. But if this is going to be the Yankee photo op to end them all, why stop there? Why not invite Yogi and Whitey, too, and Bernie Williams, and Mr. October?
Since these occasions really are becoming a tradition like Old-Timers’ Day, why not make it look that way, too? Maybe there should be a receiving line.
Pettitte seemed genuinely wounded last season that he did what he did with HGH. Rodriguez seems wounded, too, but mostly that he got caught. Now there is even an apology call placed to Selena Roberts of Sports Illustrated, who broke the story about Rodriguez testing positive for Primobolan and testosterone, even if Rodriguez hasn’t said that himself yet.
Rodriguez called her a “stalker” when he was interviewed on ESPN. What, now she’s not a stalker? Or he’s just sorry he called her a stalker when he was trying to rehab himself? Maybe it’s all part of the “healing” process that Joe Girardi keeps talking about.
But talking about healing is about as relevant here as people talking now about what a hard worker Rodriguez is. As if that is some kind of mitigating circumstance when the subject is the use of hard-core steroids. Jim Morris, the University of Miami baseball coach, was the latest to weigh in on what a hard worker A-Rod has always been. So were a lot of great players who, in the words of the great Henry Aaron, never used anything more than chewing gum.
Understand something: Alex Rodriguez has the same rights on damage control as anybody else. He has a right to sit there in Tampa and say that after Tuesday he’s not talking about his positive drug test for the rest of the season or the rest of his life. And a positive drug test from nearly six years ago isn’t the kind of drunk-driving arrest we got this winter from Joba Chamberlain. He isn’t Mike Vick and he isn’t Chris Brown, isn’t even Plaxico Burress, even though A-Rod shot himself in a different way.
Rodriguez is fighting for his reputation here, and his good name, and his place in baseball history, and those are high stakes indeed. It doesn’t mean Tuesday’s show will be anything more or less than that: a show. Once again the other Yankees, even the well-intentioned ones, are just props.

The Biggest Loser CouplesThe Key to Weight Loss
Hello, and welcome to another week of NBC' The Biggest Loser: Couples. Last week, we said goodbye to Blaine, who is doing great at home, training for an Ironman and spending time with his new baby. Tonight The Biggest Loser opens with Dane determined to make it on his own and--surprise!--another pop challenge. Each team is competing for a key to the gym. Only two people will get it ---the others will have to get creative with their workouts. There are over one hundred keys to try. I love how everyone went to try and help Ron out. This group is such an amazing one---I've never seen such spirit, such teamwork on this show. Shanon gets the first key on her sixth try. The Brown Team gets the second one on Mike's ninth try.

braddy bunch
braddy bunch 's story.........
In 1965, following the success of his TV series Gilligan's Island, Sherwood Schwartz conceived the idea for The Brady Bunch after reading an article in the Los Angeles Times that said "40% of marriages [in the United States] had a child or children from [a] previous marriage." He instantly set to work on a pilot script, called Yours and Mine, and passed it around the "big three" television networks of the era. ABC, CBS and NBC all loved the script, but each network wanted changes to it before they would commit to filming it. Schwartz felt that his script was perfect, and although he had the interest of all three networks in America, he decided to shelve it.[1]
Despite the similarities between the series and the 1968 theatrical release Yours, Mine and Ours starring Henry Fonda and Lucille Ball, the original script for The Brady Bunch pre-dated the script for the film. However, the success of the film was likely a factor in ABC's decision to order episodes for the series.

FULL LYRICS OF ANGEL OF MINE
When I first saw you I already knew There was something inside of you Something I thought that I would never find Angel of Mine
look at you looking at me Now I know why they say the best things are free Gonna love you boy you are so fine Angel of Mine
How you changed my world you'll never know I'm here for now, you helped me grow
Chorus: You came into my life Sent from above When I lost the hope You show my love I'm checkin for you Boy your right on time Angel of Mine
Nothing means more to me then what we share No one in this world can ever compare Last night the way you moved is still on my mind Angel of Mine What you mean to me you'll never know Deep inside I need to show
never knew I could feel each moment As if they were new Every breath that I take The love that we make I only share it with you You, You, You, You
When I first saw you I already knew There was something inside of you Something I thought that I would never find Angel of Mine
How you changed my world you'll never know I'm here for now you helped me grow I look at you looking at me Now I know why they say the best things are free Checkin' for you boy your right on time Angel of Mine

Former Khmer Rouge prison chief of S-21;
Former Khmer Rouge prison chief of S-21, Kaing Guek Eav better known as "Duch", stands in the dock of the court room at the Extraodinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia in Phnom Penh. Cambodia's UN-backed genocide tribunal will on begin February 17, 2009.
The Khmer Rouge killed nearly two million Cambodians from 1975 to 1979, spreading like a virus from the jungles until they controlled the entire country, only to systematically dismantle and destroy it in the name of a Communist agrarian ideal. Today, more than 30 years after Vietnamese soldiers removed the Khmer Rouge from power, the first genocide trials will start — a bittersweet note of progress in an impoverished nation still struggling to rehabilitate its crippled economic and human resources.

alternate and averages 186, started his night out with an over average game of 194
Senior bowler Dave Zarrelli had a career night while bowling in the Thursday Knights of St John's league at North Coast Shoreway Lanes. The 60 year old Zarrelli, who bowls as an alternate and averages 186, started his night out with an over average game of 194. He missed a 7-pin for his only open of the evening. That was only the beginning of great things to come.Dave followed his 194 game with games of 298 and 300, for a career high 792 series! Zarrelli has been bowling on and off for about 29 years. He started his career bowling in a league in the 70's at Bay Lanes in Bay Village, however, it has been only the last 6 years that he has taken the game more seriously. Most of his career has been spent open bowling with his family. His previous league or tournament high game and series (his only other 700 series) was a 287-728 that he bowled in the Elks Lodge league six years ago. The fellow bowlers in the Knights of St. John's league were amazed at the composure Dave exhibited during the two games. Having not had the experience of rolling the first 11 strikes, Dave sent the twelfth ball of the 298 game a little wide leaving the 5-7 split. He could have carried that shot according to several of the onlookers. An opposing team member mentioned how cool and composed he was following the 298. Normally, it takes a while to "come down" after shooting a big score. However, Dave started the next game off with the first 11 strikes. The twelfth ball in the 300 game was a "no doubter" to end his evening in perfection.

6-Feb-2009Written by: John Winn Meyer Lansky may be dead, but that isn’t preventing him from making an appearance on the Great White Way--sort of. According to the AP, a one man show about the life and times of Lansky, a reputed mobster, who served as the inspiration for Hyman Roth in The Godfather: Part II, is set to premiere on Broadway. The show features Mike Burstyn in the role of a middle-aged Lansky, chatting to the audience from a nondescript room in Tel Aviv as he waits for his application for Israeli citizenship to be approved. While he awaits his pending Israeli citizenship, Lansky discusses his friendships with Bugsy Siegel and Charles "Lucky" Luciano, the brains behind some of the Mafia's most legendary feats, including the famed--and bloody--Murder Inc., the murder for hire squad that Siegel headed from its inception in the 1920s to the group's disbandment in 1945.
